Pipelines are “Job Killers” says Energy Workers Union leader.

Watch this powerhouse speech from Dave Coles, president of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union at the Defend Our Coast rally in Victoria explaining why his members are “diametrically opposed” to Tar Sands pipelines to BC’s coast. A representative of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers echoed those concerns, citing the loss of fisheries jobs in Alaska following the Exxon Valdez oil spill. (3 min)

    Coles speech is right to the point.

    And he does not pull any punches.

    Coming off a merger vote to form the largest private sector union in Canada, it is encouraging to know that this sector of society is in solidarity with the movement to stop the rapacious plunder and complete reinvention of Canadian society.
